Spirits
Craft Cocktails and Spirit Exploration for the Home Bartender
A well-made cocktail can transform a simple evening into something special. Whether it’s a perfectly balanced martini, a refreshing summer drink, or a warming after-dinner cocktail, spirits have a way of elevating gatherings and creating moments worth remembering.
Our journey with spirits began at a bar where the bartender made a mezcal cocktail that changed our minds about mezcal forever. Since then, we’ve been exploring craft spirits, learning techniques, and discovering how the right cocktail can be the perfect companion to good food and good company.
OUR APPROACH TO SPIRITS
We’re home bartenders, not professionals. We’ve made mistakes (plenty of them), learned what works, and discovered that you don’t need fancy equipment or complicated recipes to make excellent cocktails. You just need good spirits, fresh ingredients, and curiosity.
Our approach is practical and approachable. We share recipes we actually make at home, techniques that work in a home kitchen, and spirits we genuinely enjoy drinking.

A PHILOSOPHY WE LIVE BY
Great cocktails should be accessible. You don’t need to spend a fortune on spirits or own a dozen bottles to make excellent drinks. You don’t need to memorize complicated techniques or follow rigid rules. Start with one good spirit, learn a few classic recipes, taste what you make, and adjust to your preference.
The best cocktail is the one you enjoy making and drinking.
GETTING STARTED
If you’re new to making cocktails at home, start with a simple spirit like gin or whiskey, fresh citrus, and a few basic recipes. Taste as you go. Adjust the balance of sweet, sour, and strong to your preference. Have fun with it.
